Hi All,

I just finished my interview with Ms. Laura.

It was supposed to be on Skype but right at the fixed time, skype did not work and we ended up on a phone call.

Though she was quite supportive, I could have expressed better on Skype than on phone.

Do you all think that I can request for another face to face interview? Has anyone faced this before?

I am pretty worried now.

It is unfortunate incident, but I wouldn't be worried about it.
I am sure this would have happened in the past and will happen in the future - to someone (I wish it doesn't but its life).
Email her and see what impression she got. If she says she would agree that Skype is better than phone, or in general candidates perform better on Skype, then you will have a 'case' to present.
Keep in touch with her, she seems to be a very nice lady and very accommodating.

All the best.

I just finished my skype interview with an admission committee member, Elaine. Information from google says she's the Associate director of MBA admissions. The interview was very conversational and I felt very relaxed. Surprisingly, I wasn't asked to walk through my resume and the interview walked through each section with me in real time. My interview lasted for 35 minutes.

Here are the questions I received:
Walk me through your resume (mine was as stated above)
    Why MBA?
Why is your English really good? - given my demographics it was not a surprise that the interviewer was surprised.
What role are you going to be taking after the MBA?
What can you contribute to your classmates?
You're super young!? - she saw my birth date!
    What are your hard skills?
    What's the misconception about you?
What would your friends say is your natural talent?
What's a frustration you faced while working on a team?
What do you do in your spare time?
Anything else you want me to know?

The adcom recommended me a book and I think that was pretty awesome! I also asked the interviewer when the decisions will be released and she said that they would be before March 15. Good luck to everyone!

Quick question: Is Round 3 for Marshall still considered for scholarships and aid? I know most round 2's are in Jan/Feb so is Round 3 considered "late" by Marshall? I'm submitting my application today and I wasn't sure if I should write a supplemental to explain my late application.

Hi All.
I had my interview on Monday, Feb 27th.
I heard that Marshall is working on rolling admission to avoid overload at the decision date. Can you all admits, WLs, rejected students can provide a timeline, please?
Like how many days after the interview you heard back from the school? What was the procedure - call, email or portal update?

On the other hand, there is no movement on the portal, at all. Do Marshall handle all communication through email only?

Really good questions! From what I know the rolling decisions will be known before 15 March. I also interviewed on the 28 so I guess there might be something great next week. However I have no idea how they'll be telling us. :/

You'll most probably receive a decision letter by mail. I received mine through mail only.

you said it will be mail only. so, I guess, for international students it will add easily about a week.
What did the mail say? Next steps? Info regarding financial aid or something? Anything specific?

mimster
yeah, I saw you had a good interview on 28th. Would you share which book they suggested to you?

My long term goals are related to expanding product lines, so she suggested the book "truffle boy". It's available as hardcover right now. I'm waiting for it to arrive in my country :/

Also regarding the acceptance, I do think they'll release by email first hopefully? I'm scared that the post in my country will mess things up omg.

Hi everyone,
I hope you are doing good!
I have been waitlisted after interview.
The program doesn't require recommendation as stated on the website. However, would it be helpful if i send one to the adcom? Also, through what channel should i send the recommendation?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers!!!

In USC first they call you, if they don't reach you by phone they send you an e-mail.
Later, you received the official letter.

Guys, I created a group on WhatsApp for admitted students, so as soon as you get admitted, send me your number and I will add you on it.

Wish you the best man.
I'd say if the letter adds something significant then it won't hurt. But in my opinion, a rec letter is not the only way to update the AdCom.
Channel- point of contact should be your interviewer.

Hi! I believe they say that they "neither require nor accept" letters of recommendation, so sending one may not help you (unless it's from someone at USC). Instead, I suggest writing a letter that addresses the following: why USC is your first choice, gaps in your application and an explanation for them and/or how you intend to fix them, and what you'll contribute to the Marshall community. I'm sure you'll win them over! Best of luck.

Interviewed on the 3rd of March. Anyone have a clue as to when to expect the decision?
