I don't think it is required. You can follow what is written on the website. In fact, I have a friend from Round 1 who has an admit and he didn't post-mailed his official transcripts. The official scanned copy would do and if admitted, you can post-mail the official copies then.

You must upload scanned copies of official transcripts into the online application. While these uploaded copies are technically unofficial, they will allow the Admissions Committee to render a preliminary admissions decision on your application. Please note that these must be scans of official transcripts printed on university letterhead. Print-outs from online student portals are not acceptable.
No update yet. I interviewed on 24th Jan. My interviewer said the decision will come in a couple of weeks. No definite date. Did your interviewer say anything?

Same here. I interviewed on 24th Jan. They said that the decision will come in a few weeks. So hopefully it should come by 3rd week of Feb'17. Hope this helps.
One quick FYI - any admitted students sending documents in, I recommend avoiding UPS as for some reason they don't seem able to get them to the correct location.
