Answer to your first question. Yes ! Anyone can crack GMAT provided he/she has a realistic study plan and follows that plan religiously.

> Build strong conceptual knowledge.
>Practice using official guides.
>You need to keep a track of errors, learn from them, correct them and never repeat them.

Yes, s/he can crack GMAT. You just need to make hard working on that.
Getting admission in MBA in US Business school depends on some criteria likely GMAT score, your CGPA, Work experience (WE), extra-curricular, and so on. In short, getting chance in US business school is a holistic process.

Yes, any student from any background can do well on the GMAT.

There are plenty of people from non-math backgrounds who have scored high and plenty of math-backgrounds who have scored poorly, and vice versa. The test examines logical and reasoning skills with basic high-school level conceptual knowledge. It is an aptitude test. Such tests can be mastered with practice and learning. Use sites such as this one here, books, videos etc, to do both practice and acquire knowledge.

Different testtakers will need different amounts of time and preparation. Develop your own plans rather than blindly copying from others. The test can be mastered by most people. GL!
