Can someone please confirm these ?
1) The recommenders will receive the mail as soon as I put recommender's information in the application( even when I haven't submitted the application ) ?
2) Recommenders can submit LOR's after the application deadline?

1 one answer is yes. its the same with all schools.
2 i don't think but better check with the school. i know just a handful of programs allow that, but most actually don't

I didn’t and I was admitted with a full scholarship. I also did a written essay not video. I believe when they say optional they truly mean optional.

Just submitted application. However, I just came to know that the payment link will be updated in 2 weeks time on GIAC my status page.
Anybody else having same issues?
Does this mean a delay in processing of our applications for Round 2?

I think you should write to the adcom and ask them about this ASAP.

I submitted mine on the 8th of Jan, that is one day before you. My GIAC status page was updated today and I've had my payment processed as well.
The application page says that the GIAC page gets updated in 1-2 business days.

MY GIAC page was updated within 24 hours, I submitted my app on the 8th.

The GIAC page does say that the fee needs to be submitted before the deadline, however I think if your write to the adcom they might be able to expedite the process so that you can make the payment before the deadline, or possibly give you some leeway with the fee submission deadline.

Hi all. The same is the situation with me. I hit the submit button an hour ago but there is no way I can make the payment before the R2 deadline. I have written to the GIAC Let us see what they reply. Meanwhile did anyone receive response from GIAC/Adcom about this issue

Yes I did receive a reply from them. They mentioned that as long as the application is submitted within deadline, it will be considered in Round 2.

Did anyone Consortium applicants get accepted to McCombs? Is your deposit deadline Feb 8? This is prior to the Consortium draft meaning you’d have to pay the $2,000 non-refundable deposit before knowing whether you would receive a fellowship. This assumes you did not rank McCombs #1. Anyone else in this boat too?

Friends this is urgent. I wrote to the INTL office of UT to check whether there is any issue with 3 year degrees from India. They have come back saying 3 year degrees from India are not acceptable at UT Austin. Can anyone throw somelight? DU has only 3 year degrees and it is one of the best university in the country.Please help-I need to make the payment today but have submitted the app. :cry: :cry:
