A strange thing happened with me. I applied to UNC in R2. I didn't received any interview call , yesterday I got a mail that admission Notification has been posted on the portal. I checked it said I have been Waitlisted, that too without interview.
Today morning I receive a mail from UNC saying that I have been invited to interview and I need to give it before 31st March.
Did this happened with someone else also??

Yes me too. I have scheduled mine on the 17th. It's not unusual to be waitlisted without an interview.

My class last year, they sent a virtual portal welcome packet and then a few weeks later received hand-written cards, a UNC Business School gift item and a welcome letter. No "packet" per se but they sent us a few different gift items a few weeks after admit. I am sure it i a bit slow due to Covid too.

I think you should wait and see a little more given that in the current situation they might be operating at less capacity. If I see last year's data, applicants have received interview invites till the end of March.
