I submitted on the 1st of November, and haven't heard from them yet. I believe the volume of applications is huge this time around (Especially the Indian contingent) and hence the delay in response. The website says that they usually take between 6-8 weeks to respond, it has gone beyond that for me though.

Hi guys,

I have a question about the rolling admission, and do not want to make costly assumption.

I'm an international student and I know Rotman advices application from int' students be submitted before R3.

I unfortunately rescheduled my gmat for end of April, meaning that by when my exams are done, I will be looking at R5 which makes my visa prospects pretty tight.

Now, I am 100% confident that b4 R3 deadline all my application requirements would be completed except gmat (as I speak, I am done with my essay, recommendation, etc).

My question is based on the concept of rolling admission, can I submit without my Gmat before R3?
Will It make any difference positively or negatively

Or do I just wait till my gmat is done, and submit b4 R5 deadline.

I really don't want to guess here.

Thanks

Hey Aussy2000 ,

I don't think your application will be considered complete without GMAT score. Since they will keep incomplete application on hold and then review later post your Gmat, I am afraid you will have very bleak chances to get admitted. Firstly, most of the seats would have been filled by then. Secondly, they might restrict themselves to pick an domestic applicant.

Don't waste your chance. Apply next year in the initial days to get an early admit.

All the best :)

From my personal experience and from what I found on this forum, the interview is just an extended conversation. It is very relaxed with basic behavioral questions to begin with. I was asked the usual Why MBA, Why Rotman, How did you hear about Rotman, How will you contribute to the class etc. etc. Very basic stuff. My interviewer made sure that it was more of a discussion so one question led to another. For e.g. the Why MBA question, we had a chat about my goals, my hobbies etc. I wasn't asked any typical 'Tell about a situation when...' question. But you can expect questions around your leadership/extracurriculars/community service experiences.

In addition to these resume based discussions, she asked me a couple of questions that I knew were asked in a few other interviews as well. Things like, Teach me something (anything that you like) in 2 minutes. If there was one question you wanted me to ask you, what would it be and answer it yourself. Also, what will be your legacy at Rotman has been a common interview question this year. She didn't ask me this as I kind of had already answered that in the 'How will you contribute to the class' question.

Again, the interview is very chill and interviewers make an effort to ease you into a conversation. Just know your resume and a few stories around your experiences well. Also, make sure to ask meaningful questions when asked to do so.

Good Luck!

Hi guys,
I submitted the application on 8th January. It still shows in the supplemental items that the transcript is not received. The transcript was delivered to the school on 5th of January. I emailed the school asking them about this but there was no response. Does this happen? Shall I email again? Will they review my application before it shows in the portal that the transcript is received?

cubs - I don't think its an issue, as long as you submitted the scanned copy while submitting the application, you should be ok.
I had the same status and had emailed them asking if my application was complete. it was a delayed response but they confirmed that they will reach out in case they need additional docs.

Guys,

I have a 3 year degree in undergrad from India and scored only 53%. Now this is what the website says
INDIA
Master's Minimum Admission Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree Equivalent: Completion of BOTH a Bachelor`s (three-year) degree and a Master`s OR A Bachelor`s degree requiring four years of study (e.g. BPharm, MBBS, BDS, BTech, BEng, or BArch)

Mid-B Equivalent: 1st Class or 1st Div.; 7.5/10 from Indian Institutes of Technology; 8.0/10 from other institutions

Does this mean that I can't apply? Any 3 year degree holders from India? Also, what about the score requirement of 1st class etc?
