Foster's practice questions are so fun. I wish actual questions were just like that,

Anyways, my questions were from the foster video essay thread. (Hoped I practiced them)

1. Have a few of your stories ready, you can see questions posted above by other candidates, so try practicing a few questions.
2. Speak slow and clear. Do not rush with the story. 1.5 minutes does not give you time to talk in-depth. So, give a high-level description.
3. Use STAR format. Explain Situation, then Task at hand, then Action taken by you, and finally a quick result. (very important)
4. In 30 seconds given for prep, think about the story you will talk about. And remind yourself of the question. It is important that you answer the question, and not just deliver the story. Your story should answer the question asked.
5. Do not panic, there is anything to be worried about. They will check you most on your clarity and content. So speak clearly and make sense of the question at hand.

Just completed. Tried to prepare by looking at the other questions, but I didn't get any of them!

1. When assessing a potential new role, what are the most important values you look for in a company
2. Describe a time that an unexpected task came up and you had to re-assess priorities, what was the result.

Just finished my vid interview. Q's were something to the effect of:

1. What was the best piece of advice you've received? How has that piece of advice impacted you?
2. Describe a time when you had to defend a decision that you made. Why was it the best choice? What was the result?

There is no such public info as to on what basis they do judge applicants in this round. But I'd assume, more than the answers, they look at the overall personality- how the applicant is coming across in the video, the way he/she speaks and carries himself etc.

So I'd say, stay positive. And hope for the best!
All the best! :)

I messed up pretty bad in one of the questions and did well (I think) in the other.

My questions:
1. If you could go back to 1900, how would you explain a smartphone to a person.
2. Explain a stressful situation in your work, How did you handle it and what were the results?
