Herez my debrief (Mumbai):

I reached the venue an hour in advance. This was my second shot to the prestigious ISB. Unlike last year, I was well prepared, more matured and knew my weaknesses. I was given a one word essay (Happy), and I did not try to be fancy with it. Soon I was taken to the panel. There were 2 people, both alums and really nice people. It started off with what I am doing in my current role and how I am executing the project. Then they dug deeper and questioned me on my experience as a team lead. They also wanted to know the impact of my current assignment on my client's org and the company I work for. I was asked questions on Mentorship, my onsite exposure, my association with Human rights association and how will ISB help me. They also questioned me on my post-MBA plans and what if I continued without MBA. It was very conversational and we exchanged smiles, a rare thing for ISB. And since, I was a re-applicant, I was asked to assess myself. I explained the reasons, improvements, and reasons for coming back. You can refer to my last year's debrief here : https://gmatclub.com/forum/calling-all-isb-applicants-2016-intake-class-of-197093-660.html#p1608247

Good luck to all.

Hello everyone,

I needed a quick help. Does ISB accept updated new GMAT scores even after the application deadlines. For ex, lets say R2 deadline is 15th Jan, and I take GMAT on 18th Jan, can I send the new score to ISB to better support my application?

Many thanks!

Good morning to all,

Had my interview yesterday. It was cool and in fact I enjoyed the entire experience. No tough brain stormers, no stress, no problems. That said I can hardly judge if my interview went good or not. But one thing was for sure, they had probably made up most of their mind before the interview. It was a little bit of push that I had to make to convince their take. I think i did well from my part though but only time will tell what happens next. Interview lasted for about 20-25 mins and before I knew it, it was over. All the best to all those who have invites and those who are waiting..
I really don't have the energy right now to spell out the entire debrief, but will be happy to help if people out there have any specific queries that I can suitably address.

By the way the one word essay was "Clithridiate"

Just kidding, it was an easy word. One must always learn to be "sane" during the one word essay...thats all. :P
Cheers!!

Hi,

Does anyone have data regarding proportion of students admitted vs invited for interview.
And also for re-applicant student? I want to understand my chances with ISB. I am done with interview. It was quite conversational. If anybody has any query, pl let me know.

You can check data of current applicants on app tracker isb-204/app-tracker.html

Looking at historical data, for applicants with GMAT score between 700 and 720, inclusive, admission rate (post interview) is in the range of 40% - 65%. calling-all-isb-applicants-2017-intake-class-of-217553.html#p1678894

Even I have posted this question. It seems no one from bangalore got interview invites. One of the candidate in this forum commented that he called Adcom and they said in last few days of november they will start rolling out interview invites for bangalore.

I got in. I was quite sure my interview went absolutely horrible. I guess that happens with quite a few people.

Got a waiver too :-D

Even I had a similar experience, but I'm fretting about the interview duration, mine was 20 to 25 minutes. I read somewhere that more the duration more are the chances of happening, how true is this?

Hi guys, did anybody who opted for Skype get the interview call? I submitted my application on 11th Oct. Applicant status shows as "Completed". But, no response from ISB so far. I'm an overseas applicant (UAE) and had opted for Skype option. I tried calling and mailing them. But, no response to either. Can you please let me know how best to reach them and get to know my app status?
