I just had my Interview with Cindy McCauley. Interview started with she apologizing to me for making me stay awake at this hour. She mentioned that she didn't go through my application on purpose, and she would record whatever I say and use it for the evaluation purpose. The interview was more of a conversation type. She asked the following questions

1. Run me through your resume
2. Why MBA?
3. Why Tepper? Short term goals and Plan B
4. Tell me about a time when you showed leadership skills. Which particular skills did you have to exhibit?
5. Tell me about a time when you had cultural differences with a person. How did you overcome them?
6. Tell me about a time when you relied on some other person to get the work done. How did you convince him to help you?
7. Tell me about a time when you didn't have enough resources to do your job and you had to ask for help.
8. Tell me about a time when you took a decision which affected some other department. How did you cope up with them?
9. Any questions for me?

Overall, the interview went for around 25 min. She was in San Francisco, conducting an info session. I guess she was in a hurry, but she managed to get to know about me as much as possible. Interview went well, much better than the mocks I gave.

All the best for others who are yet to be interviewed. My tip, just stay confident. Interviewees are trained to make you feel comfortable. So no need to feel nervous. Just make sure you give the best examples of your experience for the behavioral questions.

Thanks,
Tharun

I applied through the Consortium and received confirmation that they received my application on November 2, and just received an interview invite yesterday :-D (Nov 4). In-person interview scheduled for Nov 15 with Nicole Chambati. Anyone have experience with her as their interviewer?

Done with my interview with Emily on the 9th.
Background: I am a re-applicant and was admitted in Round 1 last year and I had my interview with her last year too
The interview was a general conversation with regular questions:

1. Why MBA, why now?
2. Why Tepper?
3. Leadership situation? Your style of leadership
4. Some follow up questions about what did you learn and where did you implement the learning.
5. Difficult situation at work?
6. Some follow up questions about what did you learn and where did you implement the learning.
7. Cultural awareness and questions about working in different cultures?
8. Some follow up questions about what did you learn and where did you implement the learning.
9. Unpopular decision? What would like to take back from that decision?
10. A situation when you had lack on information? What did you do what did you learn?
11. Situation when you had to deal with different teams? What did you do what did you learn
12. Questions about my short-term goal?
13. Plan B if I do not get recruited in the company I want?
14. Questions about what has changed from last year?
15. Questions about my start-up?
16. Any questions to ask?

I think these were the major questions that were asked. Did not look these many while i was answering them :D
Make sure you have 4 - 5 situations ready to use in various scenarios. You can use one situation in multiple scenarios though.

Treat it like a conversation and you will do well.
Let me know if you have any doubts.

All the best!

Congrats Dhivya!

Hoping they roll out invites over the week or at least tell us when they plan to do so. This wait is excruciating!

ankurgupta03 : I couldn't agree more what you have told in tour post. Even in Tepper, the bold line will be stressed too many times.

All the best and hope to see you here at Tepper :)

I had my on campus interview earlier this week. It lasted about 30min.

The admission officer remembered me from my last visit. So, we started talking about it.
1. Tell me about yourself
2. Why MBA?
3. Why Tepper?
4. What is your plan B?
5. Short term goal immediately after graduation.
6. How would you contribute to the program?
7. What is your leadership style?
8. How would your direct reports describe you?
9. Talk about an instance when you had to deal with an under-performing employee.
10. We spoke about my passion in running.
11. Any questions for me?

The admission officer really made me feel at ease. So, I very much enjoyed the conversation.

All the best to others!!

Hi guys, I had applied with a GMAT score of 700 (and is probably the reason why I didn't get an interview call till now). Last week, I retook the GMAT and scored a 730 and mailed the Adcom about that and I was asked to upload the unofficial score report in the applications page.

I'm wondering whether the Adcom will review my application again in this round or will my application be moved to R2?
