Project RC Butler 2018

How can I improve on reading comprehension?

We wish that there was a quick, easy answer to that question, but as is often the case on the GMAT, there are no magic bullets.

Why a new project ?

Since we believe that there are no easy ways to improve RC skills, we want to emphasize on the consistent practice required to ace RC questions. A lot of us have benefitted from doing this in past and we want to teach you the same.

How does it work ?

We will go through the vast RC question base of GMAT club, select Two passages and post the links to them here everyday. Users who are interested can follow along, working on the selected passages.

How does this help ?

Apart from providing consistent practice everyday, we see another benefit. Since most you will be working on same passages on the same day, there will lot of activity on the passage and the user's questions(if any) gets resolved sooner.

Super useful resource.

How much time on average do you guys think one should take to solve a RC passage? (a range is fine)
I am targeting under 8mins, but some long passages take up to 10mins as well. What is a good aim?

Abhishek1301,

Most RC passages on the actual GMAT have 3-4 questions. So aiming to tackle a passage in 8 mins makes sense. But many passages here have 8 questions or so in which case I would not bother too much on the total time spent on the passage as long as average time per question does not exceed the usual 2 mins.

Does that make sense?

Where can I find the tags of any passage once I open the passage link? I want to avoid GMATPrep passages as I already encountered one :(
